Suitcase Program
Give a fish, eat for a day; Teach to fish, eat for a lifetime...
Each year, thousands of youth transition out of the foster care system at the age of 18 (or 21 in some states). This means they may be in need of food, shelter, and other essentials that formerly were provided by the institution that removed them from their parents (state/local government).
She Ready Foundation understands the concept behind giving one a fish and eating for a day; verses teaching one to fish who eats for a lifetime.
That’s why we are taking the lead in teaching our young people to fish!
